I started dance lessons in 1970 and completed IDTA up to 3 gold bar in latin and ballroom, took a 15year break to have family and career returned to complete up to 6 gold bar in latin and ballroom and trained both daughters, danced with them to 4 gold bar and still train to a high standard each week now. I also do a bit of teaching which I really enjoy but would like to do more social dancing and with a regular partner especially as I have now retired from fulltime work.

I am a free-spirit, and teach this concept by working as a holistic consultant. I am creative and dance for me is an expression of joy, trust and cooperation. I dance twice a week here on Vancouver Island - in Nanaimo, Courtenay and Parksville. People say they love watching me because I sometimes create dancing on the street, and I conclude that I am sharing my inner joy with everyone who wants to watch or join in. My favourite dance is the Viennese Waltz, perhaps because I am from Europe and the dance is in my blood. I took lessons from a great Latin dance teacher in Kelowna, so I have become an above-average level Latin dancer, and could enter a competition, though I would prefer to perform as a way of showing how exhilarating dance can be.

To be perfectly honest, if I had a dance partner who was out of ego while dancing the standards, I would be in Heaven. I dance the Foxtrot and Quick Step just once every two weeks so I'd like to take improver lessons for these two, with someone who also enjoys the music and the flow. Argentine Tango is in vogue here so I take lessons. I haven't been able to dance country with a partner since I left Kelowna in 2012 - I miss it! If you are a country dancer, please contact me.

Shall we dance? I started dancing almost 10 years ago by taking classes and lessons at Arthur Murray. After about a year, their approach to teaching became to formulaic so I began to expand to other studios as well as social dancing to continue my learning. I took both classes and private lessons in most ballroom and Latin dances. Before the pandemic, I was dancing at least 5 nights a week. I absolutely love it! My favorite dance is salsa which is what I have the most experience in. I took classes for a couple of years and I take various workshops when I can. I also like other Latin dances such as cha cha and bachata in that order. I know those dances a little but not as much as I know salsa. I'm also open to learning other dances. Besides dancing, I work out 3-4 days a week work 40 hrs and try to enjoy as much free time as possible. For hobbies, I'm into home automation and electronics. I like to travel when I can and I do enjoy watching tv and movies at home and at the theater. I'm also open to trying/doing new things.

Started dancing salsa and bachata a couple of years ago in 2016 and attended classes pretty consistently. From late 2016 to around mid-2017, I trained for a salsa performance and did some performances in Philly from April to June 2017. For the last year or so I've been a bit more sporadic with lessons and social dancing.

I have a decent memory, so for salsa I remember majority of the beginner and intermediate move patterns I've learned and understand how different moves interconnect. However, especially with the more complex move patterns, I struggle a bit with timing on the dance floor.

So I'd love to meet up with someone to practice these moves enough times to get them into my muscle memory.

I'm extremely passionate about dance. I have studied mainly salsa, tango, merengue, bachata, hustle, mambo, musical theatre, and I have competed in Open Gold A at USDC in International Latin. I have a grasp on many other styles and I have a knack for choreography. I was USDC 2023 Pro Am Latin Showdance Vice Champion. I have plenty of experience in social dancing since I come from a country where there are many types of dance. I'm extremely interested in choreographing dance routines, for my portfolio and my training, as well as partner tricks of any style, especially acrobatics.

I have been dancing Argentine Tango for about 6 years. I came from a ballroom background, tried Argentine Tango on a whim and found it difficult, challenging, and frustrating. However, I kept being drawn back to tango until I finally gave into it. When I first started tango I remember someone telling me that it takes a lifetime to learn. I thought that sounded silly. But now, the longer I dance tango, the truer that statement becomes. The more I learn in tango, the more I see that I have so much more to learn.

Contemporary dancer by education, but I have now fallen in love with ballroom and will pursue this going forward. I focus on international latin. I love to deep dive into technique/movement quality, create dance videos, do performances, and teach workshops. Open to competing as well. In addition to the dance degree, I have a master degree in sports psychology and coaching, and I am a personal trainer. Since age 15, I’ve been teaching groups and individuals at all levels in a variety of sports and movement disciplines. I also do life/spiritual reading/coaching. My goal is to become the best I can at ballroom dancing, to create a nurturing partnership, and for us to have a life style where we thrive and dance is the essence of it all.

Have relocated LA(Burbank) for new job. I am fully vaccinated and have traveled extensively all over the world.

I am looking for an experienced partner who would like to social dance/practice on a regular basis in LA area. So far I have danced at Rain, Granada, Stevens.

I learned salsa and bachata in Mexico and then danced for a month in Bali. I have attended a few congresses.
