Back in the 1980's we had twice as many women as men so it was easy to get new ladies to dance with.
I liked to teach two or three new partners every year so I had dozens of partners over the years.
All of my partners became excellent followers and were able to find regular partners after our year of dancing once a week.
I found thank after a year a partner could feel the lead and then recognize my patterns. It was best to set them free at that time.
If you danced in the Eighties you were blessed. Yes, a woman had poor odds but with twenty single men at every dance, she would get a few dances. (And more and more as she made friends.)

Never thought about this before. I've partner danced for over 40 years and have had many steady ones. Partners came and went through life because of family status, personal situations, relocations, etc. The biggest challenges are places to dance these days and distance.

I had to regular partners during college and would love another one now that I am back into ballroom dancing.

I don’t have any partner now and wish to find one. I have rhythm, I would like to learn Salsa and Bachata. I am not a ballroom dancer nore a professional but I enjoy dancing.

They were regular for a while but still looking for one I can work with, that has a similar approach to dancing as I have.

I am still building the foundation of some basic elements on how to follow a partner. Once I feel solid in that, then I will be on the prowl for someone fun but structured in leading.

My focus is Argentine tango, off and on for the last 5 years. I had a young family and husband (doesn't dance) when I started so that often interfered. For a while I had a lovely partner to practice with and attend classes and milongas. He moved away and I continued to attend practicas and milongs alone whenever I could. Now, with the kids older and self-sufficient I've more time to devote to this fabulous art form. I've renewed my search for a male intermediate level or higher partner to get in some real work on improving my skill set. Taking private lessons again too.

Two partners; 3 years and 7 years. The first was competition focused. A great experience, but in retrospect I prefer a wider dance experience than the close focus that was needed (for me anyway) of competition. The second and longer experience was even more rewarding, as that partner came from a country-western background while my exprience was all ballroom. We shared an interest in West Coast Swing. We both learned a great deal and had some great times meeting in the middle and expanding both of our dance worlds. Looking for a new partner little over 6mo now! Hint-Hint !!! In Kentucky.

Even at varying skill levels, all the dance partner experiences have been fun and really helped my social dance proficiency. I am grateful for all of my dance partners!

We that dance are not the norm. Of those that do, most do it as a pass time. Normal people have families to take care of, businesses to run, careers to develop, etc. Serious dance is time and money intensive. SO! I hope you'll be patient, have faith, be open minded, focus on the art (good idea to have fun too) and that the partners will gravitate to you. Good luck to you all.

I am seeking an enthusiastic dancer who is interested in technique as well as fun. So if you love to dance, and are already a good dancer, I am open to a regular or occasional dance partner. I am very good at following most dances without a routine. I enjoy social dancing, but my passion is long hours of practice to perfect all the dances, one by one, and so I need more than one partner. I’ve had an amateur dance partner for 3 yrs., mostly International Ballroom, gold open. I also take private lessons with pros about 5 hours per week (mostly standard, also smooth, rhythm, occasionally Latin or West Coast swing). I am good at salsa, hustle, (and belly dancing LOL). I dance some bachata and most recently tried Argentine tango. I haven’t tried a dance yet that I didn’t like! I dance most days of the week, mostly during the day, but some nights work. Prefer to stay local unless I’m going to a club or studio party. I compete occasionally, do showcases, and love to practice following in most dances (with or without a routine).

I have one steady dance partner for the last two years. He is my dancing teacher, we dance twice a week together. My passion for ballroom and Latin dance grows day by day. I am seeking a partner who can have regular practice with me and challenge me.

I can not find a partner that wants to put in the amount that I do. That is, enough to keep on improving and therefore getting more and more back from dancing.

Both dance partners were in the UK, that was primarily for ballroom & arginine tango. Both moved away.

2 so far, and one thing is as for sure as it is sad: #3 and so on will NOT COME from dancepartner.com b/c the quality of male dancers on the site is poor to zero - fill in your own blanks ! I am a christian and therefore TRUST GOD 100% that the best one is out there and to yet come, for I believe that God has not blessed me with a talent for dancing second to none for nothing ...
