Contacting You

We will usually e-mail an order confirmation to the purchaser at the purchaser's registered e-mail address and/or the e-mail address provided at purchase time. We do not send physical (postal) mail.

Our payment partners may also send an order confirmation by e-mail but we have observed that they generally do not contact the purchaser by postal mail. However, we have no control over our payment partner's business operation, so they might choose to if they wish.

Password Protection

Clear text passwords are not stored on our and anyone's system. Instead, we use a one-way encryption technology, popular now on most sites, such that no one, not even our staff, can read or decrypt a member's password. This means that even if our site is hacked, member passwords are not visible. A password reset is necessary if a password is lost or forgotten.

Members should be aware, however, than simple passwords can still be guessed, so trivial passwords such as '12345678', 'password', etc. should be avoided. (See 10,000 Most Common Passwords.) Passwords of 12 characters or more are best. DancePartner.com passwords may be up to 64 characters in length.
