More About Me
I enjoy all kinds of music, including folk, jazz and classical. However, listening is not enough, I need to participate! When I'm listening to music I often feel the urge to dance. For me, dance is fun, dance is exciting, dance is meaningful and spiritual. Dancing is a wonderful form of leisure. I became more serious about dancing about four years ago, taking lessons in Chicago. Since then I've become interested in swing, Waltz and the ballroom dances. I'm a fairly good salsa dancer too. And I love polka! I am a management consultant and author living in Chicago, enjoying dance at least one night a week.
I'm Looking For
I would enjoy working with a practice partner on dances such as Waltz, Foxtrot, Rhumba and Swing. I would prefer a somewhat experienced dancer, a good follow, someone able to pick up new steps or even show me some steps, neither an expert nor a beginner. I am looking for a good practice partner NOT a professional dance teacher. I will be glad to pay for studio space. However, I need someone who is consistent and will meet me at the studio for an hour each week or perhaps a couple times per month. I know of several good places on the North Side. Or, please suggest a place of your preference. Thanks!
