More About Me
Professional Musical Theatre dancer for 10 years (involves mainly jazz with touch of tap and ballet, partner work at performance level for 3 years, including lifts.
Recent dabbling in hip hop and ballroom but no real skills there - except for the skill of "faking" those styles for stage purposes!
Third place for dance in the 12 years and up category in Canadian Model and Talent Convention 2004, never trained in ballroom but would like to learn this next.
I'm Looking For
Dance partner who would like to learn, I think any level of experience would be fine. I am most interested fosse style partnering, with or without simple lifting (no birds right now please but maybe later on) as well as Argentine tango and simple basic ballrooms.
Once or twice a week lessons would be ok, I typically practice alone in between lessons, just mentally for steps and into the mirror for style, with some strength and balance work. If you are an experienced dancer I will work hard and catch up with you!
