More About Me
I've danced ceroc for around 5 years, but I prefer the muscicality and creativity of smooth jive/blues/expressive dancing more appealing these days, and would love to find a dance partner for workshops/socials/weekenders. Prior to this I had some salsa/bachata experience. More recently I've taken up Ballroom and Latin. I learned the basics of Jive/Rumba/Quickstep/Waltz/Slow Foxtrot with a regular dance partner, who sadly is leaving the country(!), so I would love to find someone to continue learning with and to go to social dances.
I am also currently learning Lindy Hop and Argentine Tango, but have someone keen to learn the latter with me :)
I'm Looking For
Someone who also loves blues/expressive/tango and/or a reasonably quick learner for Ballroom and Latin (or with a few year's of dance experience of a different style as I am happy to repeat basics at the moment). Someone who is creative and will mix up the sequence of moves taught, rather than a set series is good, so as not to fall into routines. A good sense of humour essential: I am very willing to work to 'get it right' but ability to smile or laugh when one or both of us totally looses the plot is really helpful :) . I find a partner height of around 5ft 10 and above most comfortable to dance with. Age is less important but ideally perhaps somewhere between 30 and 60.
