More About Me
1st experience of dancing Salsa was in Fuerteventura in the year 2013
Was on and off with dancing up until 2016 mainly because of mental issues and struggles (so I went back to the same place to recap what I had forgotten or remembered)
Found a welcoming venue where I started learning Salsa more often before then developing into Bachata too.
I then added Kizomba basics to the mix when I learnt that in the year 2019 in Cape Verde.
Original venue closed, so I had to find a new one (I did eventually) and started learning all 3 dance styles - Salsa, Bachata & Kizomba.
Then took a 2 week course on Kizomba through an instructor by the name of Lauren Rafferty
Dancing once a week every Tuesday night from 7.45pm until 11pm at a local venue
And currently participating in a 4 week Kizomba Course taught by duo Katie & Giuseppe (who also have a Sensual Bachata course lined up next month)>
In terms of the dancing, I'm most invested into Kizomba currently, but do enjoy both Salsa & Bachata. I have had very basic experiences of other dance styles such as Argentine Tango, Rhumba, Merengue but never been taught them yet.
My main goal is long term & that is to hopefully, one day teach others how to dance the styles I've learnt. I also hope that I can use the lessons to then apply it as like a surprise dance for parent's birthdays or events similar to those occasions.
I'm Looking For
What I'm seeking for in a dance partner is patience, as we will both need it to understand how we both connect to the rhythm and the music as well as each other. I'd also appreciate if they weren't afraid or hesitant to give me constructive criticism as that feedback helps significantly. Finally, I'd love them to just be themselves, have a laugh and enjoy learning to dance, or dancing, with me
