More About Me
Returned to dance training with a professional instructor 3 years ago, taking lessons 2x/week. Started partner dancing in high school and continued periodic classes over the years when available, including ballroom, country, balboa/lindy, west coast swing, country styles, salsa, casino salsa (salsa rueda). Performed with a Norwegian Folk Dance group for several years locally. Spent one year in Germany during college and learned international styles for Standard and Latin. Currently am working on all American Rhythm, American Smooth and International Standard and all International Rhythm except for Jive. Also learning country styles.
I enjoy improving my dancing techniques and abilities as well as challenging myself with working toward Dance Expo or Showcase dances. I would like to try competition as well, but financially do not think I will compete actively on a regular basis. I enjoy social dancing, so that I can get more time on the dance floor, but it is challenging to find good leads for intermediate or advanced level or anyone that does international styles.
I'm Looking For
Collaborative learner who has some intermediate or advanced experience or interest in taking lessons to build up to that level. Someone who enjoys dancing and learning, but also wants to keep it fun and not just work. Would like to be able to practice for 1-2 hour sessions 1-2 times per week as well as going to some socials.
