More About Me
Dancing has been a great activity for more than one reason. I am especially good at Country (2-Step, Double 2, Waltz, Polka, Cha Cha) and Swing dancing. I know Ballroom dances but prefer live music and East and West Coast Swing along with Jitterbug. I like following a few 50's dance bands in the area and dancing the first set or so until the drunks take over the floor and there's no room for dancers.
I enjoy the outdoors and especially golf and boating in good weather.
I keep my self healthy by avoiding self-destructive habits (drugs, smoking, drinking, etc., people -- government minions, democrats and republicans -- laugh now!), and situations (war, violence) as best I can.
I like humor and chocolate plus I agree with Mark Twain when asked if he exercises, "Whenever I have the urge, I lie down and wait for it to pass." :) Just try to get me off the dance floor or the golf course.
I'm Looking For
Looking for a dance partner/friend with similar attitudes and goals for fun, companionship, and/or love.
Also, I'm a social dancer interested in creating short pieces with a partner, with the idea that small performance venues might be interested. Taking it on the road, baby! I would like to see my partner and I create dance numbers in Swing or Jitterbut that allow us to have fun, perform something novel and challenge us creatively using different moods and tempos that great music makes available to us as dancers.
