High level in hustle and other night club dances. Frequent competitor both in Los Angeles and elsewhere. Also showcases. Have brought my American rhythm and smooth back up to silver or gold level in order to compete in 9 dance. Currently taking about 6 hours of privates a week and practicing a similar amount. I come from a Puerto Rican background, so Salsa music (as well as Bachata and Merengue, but to a lesser extent) has always been a part of my life. I started dancing Salsa and Bachata in 2022. This lasted about a year, but I ended up getting busy and didn't take the Salsa and Bachata too seriously. I started dancing again in the most recent December, but this time taking pretty seriously. Right now, I've been dancing American Smooth Tango, Waltz, and foxtrot, American Rhythm Cha cha, Rumba and East coast swing, as well as Salsa, Merengue and some Bachata. If I find a steady partner I'd like to transition from Salsa to Mambo as well as add bolero and Viennese waltz repertoire. Life is short, best to enjoy it every day and not set any arbitrary boundaries.

Hey, I got stung by a really strange hornet back in February so I'm pretty sure I must have had Murder Hornets already. Not going to get that stuff from me, I can almost guarantee it. Haha.

I dance ballroom competitively for more than 7 years. I'm interested in dancing Novice/Pre-Champ Latin and Pre-Champ/Champ Standard at competitions, eventually working my way up to Championship level in both styles. At the moment, I don't have a partner neither for Standard nor for Latin. I train on my own and through private dance lessons.

When I'm asked why did I pick ballroom as a hobby I say I enjoy the movement and the beauty, verbal and non-verbal interaction and team work with my partner, the coordination between the two minds and bodies, the mutual interpretation of music, and on top of it all - getting better and better at it every day. My stronger points as a dancer are endurance and strength. I like to compete because I find it really motivating. It gives a sense of scope to the project, and - I must confess - I love putting on those costumes and looking fabulous!
