I'm all about technique, and would rather do a few figures well than many figures poorly. I've been dancing and teaching since 1993, some Silver American Smooth and Rhythm, some International Standard and Latin. Studied under Russell Monk, Fred Dunn, Rickey Geiger, Ludwig Dahlberg, and Craig Bukowski, among others.

I've hit the road full-time in my vintage Shasta LoFlyte. I had planned to be in New England for the summer but with this crazy weather, I have to admit, I'm kind of scared to travel that far. I may have to tough it out in Dallas, Texas, for the summer.

I'm a non-smoking, non-drinking, vegan Christian. Sound like a barrel of laughs, huh? ;-) I really am very funny; well, at least I think I am...I also have a cat and a not-so-friendly dog, something people with severe allergies need to know. I'm willing to relocate for the right opportunity.

I began ballroom dancing in 2003 and have been passionate about it ever since. I've been coached by many top professionals over these years, both locally and around the country. Most of my experience is in Standard, followed by Smooth; continuing training and competing in one or both of these styles is my current primary goal. I am open to training in Latin as well but I am not interested in Rhythm at the moment. In addition to ballroom, I’ve also studied ballet, modern, contact improvisation, and kinesiology. I have an interest in performance and choreography; I've performed in numerous shows with nine different studios, in two professionally directed productions, and at the Chicago Salsa Congress. I was the open amateur standard champion at many local competitions including the Windy City Open in 2014. (Most of my competition experience is as an amateur, but I am also potentially interested in competing professionally if I found the right partner.)

I took ballroom lesson for my PE courses in college, but I really started to get serious about dancing in 2008. I prefer to get as much floor time as possible, so I rarely sit out a dance. I am passionate about learning more styles and routines. I currently take 6 to 8 hours of private lessons per week, and this can become more when I am working on competition or showcase dances. I am just another polymath looking for a professional partner to compete in American Smooth and/or American Rhythm or possibly something else. I am fairly intense in all that I do in the sense that I like to be masterful at everything that interests me, but I am also generally easy going so you may not see it on the surface. I'm also an author, currently working on my second book, and I enjoy playing tennis and chew among things. I follow a vegan (25+ years) and gluten-free (6 years, out of necessity) diet.

I'm a retired university lecturer and dancing is one of my hobbies. I'm a 'Gentleman Dance Host' on cruise ships but I only go on one or two cruises a year (because it's not all 'fun and games'! - dance hosts have to dance 'til midnight every night and are not paid, we're passengers not crew and just get a free cruise.)

I used to compete Open Gold International Latin 14 years ago, and stopped dancing for 13 years to raise kids. I got back into dancing in early 2022. I'm struggling to figure out where I fit in with dancing because my body doesn't move like it used too 🙄, so, competition might not be right for me...unless it's just for the fun of it or with the right person. I really love social dancing and want to focus on the joy of dancing. I wouldn't mind doing performances or shows, though. And I still remember a lot of Latin technique and I'm confident that I can be a decent practice partner for Latin or teach what technique I know.

i am looking for a special dance partner that would like to become one of the premier swing dances in Australia. It has been now over 3 years since i have done any serious dancing or coaching, and have decided it its time to get back in the game. Learning to dance gives me a way to be more social and most people on some level equate being a good dancer with being more socially developed. I’m taking an online class, working fulltime and I am involved with the church. I don’t have the desire, time or money for romance or clubbing. I am gueiunely looking for a dance partner to train with. The gym I go to has a nice wood floor area that would be perfect for this. I know they allow it because I used the same gym to practice in, when I lived in Amarillo. There are camera’s everywhere, it’s in a nice area and a lot of cops work out there. I know how to do a “Two Step” and “ Waltz” I was working on learning Salsa and West Coast Swing when I moved to Albuquerque. I am also open to learning, “Bachata” I learned some steps over the weekend and enjoyed it. I want to have some moves by the summer, however I need a partner that wants to have some moves by the summer. If this interest you, get in touch with me. I've practiced Ballet for almost 15 years, then I discovered partner social dancing and I fell in love with it. I started with Salsa and Bachata, then Swing and finally ended up taking ballroom/dancesport training classes 4 years ago.

I have been competing in the US for 3 years now, and I have reached the gold level in collegiate.

Proficiency level of my dance partner doesn't matter, beginners are welcome. I tried changing the selection to "I don't care" but can't get the choice to make it into my profile. Dance skills 5, computer skills 0!
