Love to dance, socially 3 nights a week. I am also an outdoors person and love to cycle and hike. Here in Australia we have freestyle Modern, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Cha, Rhumba, Tango to International standards, plus some 'sequence' dances based on these steps called New Vogue. I've been dancing since I was 6 (ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, etc.), but didn't start salsa and bachata until 2012. In 2014, I took classes in a variety of social dances, loved them all. Performed with a semi-pro salsa team 2015-2017. Took time off for a master's degree, now I'm ready to get back into dance and hopefully to a competitive level. I'm a little out of shape, but working my way back to dancing shape.

I typically pick up dance movements quickly, to the point where I learned an entire dance in an afternoon. My skin is very white, but I'm not against a spray tan for performances/competitions. I've been mistaken several times for Colombian based upon hip movements. Willing to work hard, looking for someone interested in putting in work to achieve our common goal.

I grew up dancing to Motown and soul music. Still love that. I started taking salsa lessons three years ago, and I love that, too! It is the happiest music. I have gone on two Latin dance cruises with Aventura Dance Cruises. Those were awesome. I am an intermediate level dancer, and I want to practice, practice, practice, so I can go out social dancing. Have always been interested in dancing. Have Ballroom danced for more than ten years. Have Round Danced, and Square Danced for over ten years. Often find myself smiling while dancing because I enjoy it! When I hear music with a beat my toe is tapping - can't help it. Also enjoy a good Waltz. One of my favorite movies is the Japanese original "Shall we Dance". Was caretaker for spouse for ten years and spouse was unable to dance. She passed several years ago, Anxious to return to dance. Present interest is CW. Have several hobbies, and other interests. I am intelligent, educated, some say handsome (my mother, for one) and financially secure with no debt. Have a good sound system with many, many songs. My computer has an unusually good sound system and often listen to music on it. I tend to prefer New Orleans type Jazz but am eclectic with my stored music as there are a number of classics in the system, Was married only once tor over 50 great years and would love to be married again! I am a Christian that goes to Church on a regular basis.

Dancing as a sport was my pursuit since 2006 . About a year back i started competing AM-AM category and won at Tristate in my 50+ age group. I use to train atleast 8 hours / week between saturday, sunday and wednesday. Due to Covid it has been brought down to 1 hr / week. I love to keep growing in this learning of Ballroom - International, American and also use latin for my social dancing. I love to attend technique workshops, i see that adds a lot of quality into dancing

Have a good sense of rhythm and good form. Do not push people around the floor. Cha cha and hustle are 2 of my favorites, but I enjoy all the ballroom dances.
