I have danced most of my adult life, social dancing mostly. I was brief employed at Arthur Murray in my mid 20's and taught New York Hustle at community centers in my late 20's. I started International Standard and Latin in 2002 as divorce therapy, and I have competed in Pro Am bronze and silver 2003 to 2008. My new routines are open gold, and I just competed at Senior 3 in Stockport, UK (Sept 2018).

I've been dancing basic country western, bachata, cumbia, tejano since I was a kid. I took a social ballroom class in college in 2015. I've danced a little since then, but not as much as I'd like. I'm a good follow, and can keep up fairly well even when I don't know the steps! I've got singer/musician experience in the past so I have a great sense of rhythm. I'm mostly just looking to dance socially, but if theres someone out there who wants to train me to compete or perform, I'm totally open to it!

Previously competed as an amateur in pro/am, winning scholarship events at sf open and international grand ball. I also made the finals at Embassy World Cup and USDC. I have not competed in 2 years but I am itching to get back out there. I want someone who is willing to travel for competitions and to train with the best possible coaches.

I actually live in Northern Michigan but I am happy to travel for a tryout and go from there.

I have more than 40 years experience in square dancing. I have only been ballroom dancing for a little more than a year now. While I have only been contra dancing for about 18 months, my experience in square dancing makes this form of dance easy for me. Contra dancing is my favorite, but I really do want to become a good ballroom dancer, and I am willing to dedicate as much time to accomplish this goal as may be required.

I have been competing in both Europian and latin programs at the level A but 15 years ago. I would like to refresh my dancing skills and train further.
