Just moved to Southern California from Seattle. Hard-working, determined, and willing to commit to a consistent practice and competition schedule. I’m 5 foot 4 and 5 foot 7 inches in heels. Just entering the professional ranks after dancing as an amateur for several years.

I have taken private lessons in American Smooth and West Coast Swing for about five years and a great many ballroom and swing group classes. I've also taken lots of dance workshops and go to West Coast Swing conventions a couple of times a year. I'm a serious student both of ballroom and West Coast Swing and am very eager to find a skillful and reliable practice partner to work on either or both dances with. In the case of West Coast Swing, I have a great many WCS DVDs that I'd like to have someone to study and practice with me. If you'd also like to attend some classes and lessons with me, that would be great but at a minimum I'd like someone to practice once a week with. My main goal is excellent social dancing but I have performed a couple of times. I'm not really very interested in competing but if that is your thing I would do my best to support you in developing those skills and possibly would be willing to compete with you if the process didn't take more time than I have to devote to dance. It is my hobby and I also have lots of other responsibilities that I have to fulfill and have a very demanding professional position so I don't get off work until 6 or 7 p.m.

Lindy hop is by far my favorite dance. I've been dancing since 1998 with a long break to get married, have kids, then divorced. I got back to dancing Lindy in 2017. I don't lead lots of fancy patterns, my instructors were more into the quality of movement and partnership to allow for the "follow" to improvise. So it is more about musicality and spontaneous collaboration.

I spent a couple of years in the early 2000's trying Argentine Tango. It is my second favorite but not nearly as fun as Lindy. I learned several other American ballroom dances, but these are all rusty.

I am an absolute passionate about dance. I want the dance to be big part of my life. I am a free spirit that travel all the time. I have lots of energy, enjoy life with whatever comes to my way. I am a spontanous and enthusiastic person. Enjoy kayak, yoga, running, skiing as well.

I am a retired computer systems engineer who returned to school after I retired. After working through a second round of Bachelor's courses, I received my Master's Degree in 2002. I am just finishing my dissertation and expect to receive my PhD shortly. I started Ballroom Dancing about two years ago and I love it!

Currently taking lessons at Arthur Murray. Been there a few months, no prior ballroom dance experience but I’ve done cheer in HS and played piano for 10 years so I very much understand musicality. Although we never took any exams, we reached Gold Bar 2 level of the IDTA examination board.
