I own a dance studio in the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio. We are currently looking for gentlemen who would like a career as a dance instructor for our studio. I am looking for an instructor for the studio, as well as a Standard Ballroom Dance Partner. In the midwest we mostly teach American Style, but I love Standard. We would like to find someone who is interested in teaching DVIDA Syllabus, and is a part of the team, including social dances, formal events, private lessons, group classes, competitions, and travel.

I began dancing socially in 2001, competed with the Purdue Ballroom Dance Team under the instruction of Nicole Carroll and Dan Rutherford from 2004-2006, and began a career as a ballroom instructor in 2012. I've competed American Smooth and International Standard since 2014. I am open to becoming an International 10-dance competitor, but feel Standard is my passion and forte. I am now a studio owner and looking for an employee as well as dance partner. I would like a partner to learn with, take coachings with, and compete with regularly. My goal is to reach my best dance potential with a partner while elevating both of our dancing to the next level and taking care of the studio's customers by providing great instruction and service!

I am an outgoing, enthusiastic, advanced-level dancer. I am in good shape having been a weight lifter since I was 14 years old and currently dancing three nights per week. I look much younger than my age. I pay attention to style and technique. Since I am retired (formerly a mechanical engineer), I have time to practice during the day.

In a narcissistic way. I learned to dance 20 years ago, by taking lots and lots of group lessons, then practiced at weekly dances. Like most dancers, I was knocked out of the dance world for two years. I recently got back into it and was delightfully pleased that I didn't lose any ground. Maybe a wee rusty in a few styles, but I'm working out the kinks. My three favorite dance styles are still WCS, NC2, and Argentine Tango, which I can integregate into a fusion and delectably paint the floor. During the pandemic, I substituted dance with yoga. My balancing skills have improved and I'm ready to get it going with a special partner.

I was dancing as a professional ballet dancer for three years, as a folk dances for 8 years in National Company, as professional tango dancer during last 26 years, and I'm school director in the first school of Ballroom Dance American style in Argentine, forming and training professional instructors since 12 years ago and now I ‘ll living in the Miami city.

Love dancing - ballroom, latin, salsa & rock'n roll,ceroc,done some theatre work, tap, ballet etc, will learn just about anything. Have danced in one form or another most of my life. Had taken silver medal test-Latin & Ballroom (passed HC, as in all other tests) and my dancing partner quit, for personal reasons,to my huge disappointment. Have just re-started lessons, I learn well, am strong and athletic, with style. Rather rounded rather than super slim, but find regular dancing all helps, so that will improve!

My preference leans toward East Coast Swing. I am Bronze level in Waltz. Have also taken lessons in; West Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Hustle, Salsa, etc. I am a non smoker and a non drinker and I have no association with drugs. I am a retired Manager from a large corporation and I am financially sound and emotionally stable. I enjoy dancing very much and take lessons 2-3 times a week and go to dances on week-ends. Well, to do it right, I used to take several ballroom dance lessons per week - even thought I have socially danced in college.

Update in 2005 - I am a pretty good ballroom dancer by now. I would like to learn more fancy steps. In this case, a constant dance partner would be necessary for both of us to progress along. Very driven, motivated, disciplined and can commit up to 5/6 days a week (including weekends) for practice if local. I own my own dance company so traveling during the weekend might become more challenging but will make something work if we had to do this.

i have 5 sisters so i started with freestyle and watched Fred Astaire growing up and always wanted to be smooth. i started with country line dancing, but once i saw country two step and west coast swing i was hooked. i have given up on being the best and learned to be the best at having fun. after all these years of dancing, some of the most important things are really listening and dancing to the music and the same with a partner. also very good fundamental basics.
